Coarse Fishing in Spain by Philip Pembroke

The following example is fairly representative of the textual style found in this fishing guidebook

Leon province, LE-TLSM-13 (go to map found on page 23). Cúa, Cúa River, free fishing, catch and release stretch, (trout). Description: 4.5 km long fish from: upstream at the confluence with the Ancares River to downstream at the Puente de Villanueva (town bridge). There is a strong current with plenty of bankside cover but enough space to cast a dry fly. Directions: Ponferrada west A-6 for 10 km exit north LE-611 to Cacabelos then exit north up valley on a local road for river stretch. Another 5km. The road runs parallel with the river channel along much of its course.

I recommend that anglers select a tricopteros with red deer hair and hare’s ear body for the start of the season, small brown stonefly imitations, and black tricopteros for halfway through the season.
