Coarse Fishing in Spain by Philip Pembroke

The following example is fairly representative of the textual style found in this fishing guidebook

The Touques River is situated in the Normandy department of Calvados, it is 109 km long, it has the finest population of sea trout in France; they can be caught downstream of Lisieux. But anglers can also catch brown trout and eels here. There are 80 km of bank to fish from, these are divided into 19 parcours de pêche – fly-fishing only stretches including 9 parcours vocation touristique – special tourist fishing stretches.

One such stretch is called Le Mirror de Courson it is situated between Notre Dame de Courson and Moulin de Lyee. Fly-fishing only. You will require a trout fishing day ticket in addition to your regular licence, both documents may be obtained in the town's local fishing tackle shop. 935 m stretch on both banks. Favourite fly lure choice among local anglers is the small Araignée ailée grey in June and red in July. Or small CDC. Trout here will exceed 50 cm.
