Sella River, S 41 (for location see map page 54) Coto Tempranas, coto de salmón (salmon fishing reserve) situated near Caño and Cangas de Onís (salmon, trout and sea trout). One of the most asked after fishing reserves in Spain and it shares with its Cañeres neighbor its beauty, although different in character. Good fishing all way from April through June but at its very best in May. Good to fish in section from the monasterio de Villanueva in Cangas de Onís downtream to the confluence of the Sella River with the arroyo del Aspro stream downstream of the town of Caño. Description: fishing reserve is 700m in length from the end of the coto Cañeras downstream to the pasarela peatonal (footbridge) situated between Caño and Aballe. 15 m average channel width. Directions: N-634, exit south at Arriondas N-625 past Gangas de Onís to Caño. At Caño turn right over the road bridge then bear right past the HEP station, park up right away then descend to the bank.
